Cleaning in the kitchen takes a backward step?
White Vinegar has been used safely in the home for centuries, but in recent years its popularity for cleaning within the restaurant and catering trade has steadily grown. The reasons behind the increasing popularity of time honoured cleaning products such as white vinegar in the food handling and catering industry is clear; not only is it a cost effective and safe cleaner, but it is also an extremely and effective multipurpose cleaner due to its acidity.
Cleaning with white vinegar is also a smart way to avoid using harsh chemical cleaners whilst still achieving clean and hygienic results. Dri-Pak has been manufacturing traditional cleaning products for over 50 years; Managing Director, Bruce Maxwell comments, “Although caterers rely heavily on chemical based cleaners to clean kitchen surfaces and restaurant tables, they probably haven’t given much thought to what is left behind once the water content has evaporated. This should be a consideration if the surface is being used for food preparation. Our white vinegar is a non-toxic, cleaning grade product with minimal health & safety implications; gloves do not need to be worn, can be used on non-ventilated areas as it has no harmful fumes and it is perfectly safe for the preparation of raw food.”
Bruce continues, “Not only is white vinegar a low cost general purpose cleaner it has strong environmental credentials"
White Vinegar is produced by Dri-Pak in the UK, and does not contain bleach, chlorine or phosphates and is biodegradable. White Vinegar is available in 500ml bottles from wholesalers, supermarkets, independent and hardware stores. Alternatively ask your janitorial supplier.
