Whether you’re a keen amateur or a professional cyclist, it always pays to be prepared for any weather condition, as an unexpected downpour can turn an enjoyable ride into a wet and unpleasant experience. Over time, cycling jerseys and waterproofs can become dirty and worn and start to lose their water repellence, meaning the will not be as effective as they once were at keeping you warm and dry.

Simply hand wash jackets and cycling jerseys using Soap Flakes or Liquid Soap Flakes diluted with hot water, rinse and allow to dry naturally. Hand washing outerwear using Soap Flakes or Liquid Soap Flakes provides effective cleaning power without the use of a washing machine which may cause damage. Once dry, simply spray the Garment Guard liberally onto the item of clothing or outerwear, and activate by ironing on the appropriate setting. If the fabric cannot be ironed, the formula can be activated by using a tumble dryer or heating on a radiator and the garment will then be protected until the next wash. Water will simply ‘bead’ off fabric without leaving a residue or tarnish or altering the look or texture of the fabric. With repeated use Garment Guard will increase its protection performance.
