Project Description

To support the Freestyle-designed e-commerce website, national charity CP Sport, briefed the agency about creating some eye-catching advertising material to help generate ticket sales for the CPIRSA World Games Nottingham 2015. With a range of sports to be covered and number of key messages to be communicated, outdoor posters were set to be a key part of the overall ‘Welcoming the World’ PR, social media and marketing campaign, targeting consumers and participants alike. Nottingham City Council kindly donated several 48-sheet and 6-sheet poster sites.

Working from a rough sketch and some notes from local schoolboy Antony Theobald, Freestyle’s Art Director Dave Slaney, was invited to use his awesome illustrative cartooning and design skills to bring ‘Louey,’ the Games’ loveable mascot to life. The Freestyle design team also worked closely with the makers of the mascot’s life-size costume and helped to oversee the production of the final range of promotional merchandise.

No major sporting event would be complete without a souvenir programme and the CPISRA World Games Nottingham 2015 is no different. Working to an extremely tight deadline after the final line-up of events and participants were announced, the design team at Freestyle produced an attractive and memorable souvenir programme.
