It’s nice to be in at the start of something, so we were delighted to help PermaClear launch some innovative products for motorists.
Brief
To raise awareness of PermaClear’s specialist glass coating products and revolutionary new waterless car wash product.
Target audience
Any vehicle owner!
Approach
Because budget was limited, Display ads in mainstream media were not an option.
Stage 1:
Because the product needs to sell itself, a contemporary range of packaging was designed with a quality ‘street’ feel and the key messages clearly visible on the packaging.
Stage 2:
A website was developed reflecting the packaging design and incorporating an instructional ‘You Tube’ video. The site links to an e-bay shop.
Stage 3:
A press release campaign was targeted at motoring journalists and trade press – including product sampling.
Stage 4:
An eye-catching advert was designed specifically for an online motoring magazine called TarMag.
Result
Within a matter of months, distribution for one of the products has been secured within Morrisons and other independent retailers are showing interest. A number of organisations with vehicle fleets are in discussion with the client with a view to buying the product in bulk. A third-party distributor is supporting guerrilla sales by attending race meetings and automotive events.
